Development of a worked front-axle stabilizer bar

To meet with the handling requirements imposed on high-performance vehicles, ThyssenKrupp Bilstein Suspension has developed a worked front-axle stabilizer bar of light, compact design using highly stressed materials.

Advantages:

  • Outstanding handling due to the choice of innovative materials and functions optimally tuned to the vehicle

  • Compact design due to the use of a high-strength torsion bar

  • Lower weight due to tubular design in combination with aluminium knuckles; suitable for production in extremely small series

ZSB rear-axle stabilizer bar

The ZSB rear-axle stabilizer bar developed by ThyssenKrupp Bilstein Suspension optimally combines lower weight with a tubular design, noise-free back bearing with direct response and the use of high-strength materials.

Advantages:

  • Lower weight due to extremely short knuckles and tubular design

  • Aluminium flanged bushings adhere to the painted stabilizer surface in a post-bonding process to yield better damping and prevent axial displacement

  • Outstanding response is guaranteed by rolling bearings pressed onto the flanged bushings

  • Aluminium bearing housings combine light-weight construction with compact size
